The Kent W. Faerber Fund – A Permanent Tribute

Nearly 300 community leaders and friends gathered on March 26, 2009 to toast the Community Foundation’s second president, Kent Faerber, as he heads on to new adventures in his retirement. At a dinner that evening, trustees David Starr, Steve Davis and Dana Barrows announced that their team had raised $85,715 to establish a new permanently endowed fund in Kent’s name. The Board of Trustees will allow Kent to decide on the use of the fund’s distributions.

For those who wish to add to this fund, please send a check to the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts, with Kent W. Faerber Fund listed in the memo line. Or, make a donation online, being sure to choose the option to give to another fund, and then name the Kent W. Faerber Fund in the space provided.

Kent’s legacy will prevail through this permanent resource which will continue to improve the quality of life in the Pioneer Valley for generations to come.
